The Shell Series is an extension of the Longmi product line, featuring designs of Dinosaur and Shark. Each piece appears to be a dinosaur or shark on the outside, but it actually contains a complete cat inside. The enclosed cat can be taken out by heating the outer shell and pulling it out from the head opening.

The name "HOTRU" derives from the Teochew dialect pronunciation of "鹤如" (Hèrú), meaning fun, cute, and interesting—a word full of childlike wonder and beauty. This concept is also one of the brand’s creative starting points, aiming to produce fun and playful toys that add beauty and joy to life.
